Morning Claws

This is a shout out to a good friend of mine's band. They are fantastic!  I had the pleasure of listening in on a practice in Belfast, Northern Ireland.  It was a great experience.

My only regret is that I didn't get their autograph while I had the chance.  I did, however, get to sleep in their guest bedroom, eat delicious Indian food with them, share a few drinks, laugh til we cried, and everything else that goes along with spending time with amazing people.

I even got to cuddle with the inspiration behind their band name... but that's another story *wink*

Take a listen. Belfast has some serious talent.

Food Hearts

I have a husband who cooks. Jackpot? Yes.

This past Valentine's Day, he cooked one of my favourite dinners, and added a little "aww factor" to the dish with a heart shaped treat.
Did I notice it at first? Not a chance. I look at things too quickly, have little to no patience, and don't often take time to "smell the roses" (the world needs a new phrase - I will impatiently wait for one to come).

He knows this, and instead of getting upset, he just laughed and told me to look at the pasta more closely.  Appropriate swooning followed.

I Dream in Sushi

Maybe it's weird. Maybe I should seek help. But I have dreams about sushi.  And I'm really okay with it.

Everyone needs to try sushi at some point in their life - I realize a lot of you are thinking "ew, gross, raw fish".... get over it! It's delicious, and you are missing out if you don't try it.

Go at sushi like you want to go at life - try something new, get a little adventurous, take the plunge!

And if you hate it - there's always the tempura veggies (deep fried crispy coated vegetables... hello) and other delicious alternatives. But seriously, where else do you get to eat with sticks and out of serving dishes shaped like boats?

Happy Sushi-ing!

Cappuccino Withdrawl

I recently returned from a trip to Ireland and Scotland.  Among about a thousand different things that I miss, my daily cappuccinos are perhaps at the top of the list.  I love you Canada, and you know that I do, but your cappuccinos are lacking.

Sigh... to be back in a cafe sipping on a cappuccino watching the European world go by...

Adele Adoration

I am absolutely in love with Adele.  I love her voice, her songs, her lyrics, her style.  I think she has amazing hair. I have been listening to "Rolling In The Deep" non stop for days now. It makes me borderline euphoric when I hear it in the car.  If you haven't heard it yet, listen immediately. Adele is amazing.
